Yes, I know. I’m a week late, a dollar short, and that’s the story of my life.
Good Morning Everyone.
.
I’ll be posting my version of “Pumpkin Bread” in this post later today, (actually I’m posting pumpkin bread in a new post, because I own this blog, and life got in the way of posting that recipe, that day!) but this morning, I’m uploading this post for the #TrickOrTweet scavenger hunt held by True Femme. (click here to visit the True Femme site and get all the info about the #TrickOrTweet scavenger hunt)
Continuing on with my Harvest based recipes I bring you…
Harvest Quiche
I’m back!
Ok, so I didn’t leave…really. Well mentally I might have. There have been a few times over the past three weeks when I’d have liked to have moved to an island community; sat in a beach chair, drank copious amounts of alcohol and tanned. Okay, so I’d probably do some snorkeling, and swimming and eating, but otherwise I’d have been sitting on the beach.
Zucchini Brownies
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups shredded zucchini
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Okay, so I’m a closet interior decorator/designer. Really. I am! Who isn’t though? I’m working on updating my kitchen. It’s been taupe and white for…well…forever. I’m not going to do anything crazy because it’s such a small space, but I’m going to go a little wild. Robbins Egg Blue, Retro Red and Copper. I know, I know. Sounds crazy. But I’m very sure the effect will be beautiful, and I can build off of the color scheme I already have in the kitchen at this time. Always best to start that way before jumping head first into a project. That’s my thought anyway.
We’ve posted our ad to the AgriBusiness directory. What a delightful find this one was.
I really hate to waste things. Sort of makes me want to cry. Unfortunately, as far as food is concerned, it’s difficult to know when something is safe to eat or it’s better to throw it out. Things in the fridge, I throw when they get a couple weeks past their “Use by date…”. All of those “Use by date…” and “Sell by date” can sometimes be confusing. So I did a google search and tried to find a good reference site to help with the issue. This is what I’ve found.
