Knock the Cliché out of Western Weddings

What I’m about to say might get me tarred and feathered by the “Western Wedding” circles, but I’m saying it anyway.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my handmade boots, my boots with fancy tops, and inlay’s and cutouts and hand tooling. I do. I love them with dresses. And I love wearing them nearly every day of my life. But…I’m tired of the seeing the same thing in every “Western Wedding” or “Country Wedding” or “Farm Wedding” photo I see.

Maybe I think this way because I just had my own wedding, and I went outside of the box a bit with this wedding. My nephews gave me away in a fantastic paperboy outfit, and my niece wore all ivory except for her silver sparkly “princess shoes”. Or the fact that my wedding dress was champagne and I didn’t carry flowers.

I also didn’t receive a diamond engagement ring. Nor did I want one.

I strongly believe in thinking outside of the box…for everything!

So, with this in mind, I bring you: Western Wedding Booties!

Ahh – let the punishment begin…because I feel so much better after having gotten that off my chest.

Oh – and I didn’t even include a photo of the booties I wore to my own, “Western Wedding”.

Take that!
