When I’m pressed for time for a few days and I know I want something fresh and not from my freezer, I make “Busy Night Pasta”. I don’t have exact measurements, as usual, so you’ll have to bare with me as best as possible.

Beef and Bow Ties
March 3, 2010 by jayann
This recipe is a true experiment. It’s basically goulash, but kicked into a bit of a heat overdrive.
I’ll have photos for this at a later day. It’s to dark tonight to take any.

Depression Era Cooking with Clara
February 28, 2009 by jayann
Good Morning All!
I woke up this morning, checked my email, and in my inbox was a quick note from Susanne of the “Hillybilly Housewife” blog, which you can find here. Susanne had blogged about video’s that can be found on YouTube, of depression era cooking, hosted by Clara, a 91 year old lady from upstate New York. Clara was born in Chicago in 1915 to Sicilian immigrant parents and learned to cook from her mother.
